APTA – Associated Patent & Trademark Attorneys – founded by a consolidated group of specialized lawyers and industrial property consultants – has built its own "mission" on several fundamental concepts focused and developed by its group members during their many years of diversified experience.

1. The first and most important concept arises from the consideration that protection of industrial and intellectual property, in globalized economic competition – and consequently of corporate brands, patents, software, copyrights and know-how – has taken on new and much more pregnant forms compared to the past. The second consideration is a corollary of the first: only close and constant integration between technical thought and legal approach to the theme of industrial and intellectual property permits one to achieve, in this new and by now clearly outlined direction, the best results, simultaneously clearly singling out both the heart of the innovation and that of its possible future infringement, contributing decisively in this way to assign concrete effectiveness to the investments that the company dedicates to safeguard its own innovations. This is the basic principle that inspires APTA which in fact constitutes the merger and perfect integration of technical and legal expertise formed in decades of experience in the specific sector of industrial and intellectual property. Experience accrued, among other things, through direct management of hundreds of Italian and international patent and trademark disputes.

3. Last but not least, another great characteristic of APTA is the widespread presence of its offices on the territory. In addition to its head office in Milan, APTA has three offices in the northeast of Italy (Verona, Vicenza and Padua) and one offices in the north-central part of Italy (Bologna).
